Implement curriculum, and early learning content standards to develop lifelong learners in a
professional, safe, nurturing and developmentally appropriate environment.
Key Responsibilities; Cook/Floaters are responsible for:
Proper supervision of children.
A working knowledge of ratios and licensing mandates.
Ensuring compliance for all monitoring agencies, including all CACFP duties.
Continuing to be learners, completing all required training’s and 20 biannual hours of
Learning, assisting and implementing Step Up to Quality guidelines.
Ensuring positive involvement and communication with parents and families.
Working cooperatively within the community.
Meeting each individual child’s needs with documentation.
Providing safe outdoor play.
Most importantly, creating a positive, nutritional safe, eating environment using meal
times as an opportunity to teach. Developing students who are lifelong learners.
